An Invitation to Give

As we approach this season of stewardship and we prayerfully consider our giving to the ministry of Jesus Christ through St. Helena’s, I want to explore the “why?” of giving in the Christian life. Why Give?
  • God receives the glory. All that we have is from God, and when his people remember his grace and joyfully respond, His name is glorified. This is our ultimate purpose as Christians.
  • People are blessed. All around the church, both inside and out, you can see the results of your giving. Whether you look at the children in the courtyard or the missionaries on the field or the beauty of our worship, it is easy to see the benefits of giving.
  • The Lord requires it. Giving is a part of the normal life of Christians and God loves a cheerful giver. In fact, we know from Jesus that it is more blessed to give than to receive. He gives us this command because it is a blessing to us.
What an amazing opportunity we have to respond to God’s grace in our lives! This is such an exciting season of ministry in the life of St. Helena’s! Please prayerfully consider your Faith Promise for 2024. Why? Our memory verse sums it up: “You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous in every way which through us will result in thanksgiving to God” (2 Corinthians 9:11).

With joy,
